1. What does it mean when you see a black rooster label on a bottle of wine.?
That it is Chianti Classico wine and not any old Chianti wine




2. What is the blend of grapes the recipe must follow?
80% Sangiovese and 20% other grapes



3. The expression Chianti Classico suggests the oldest and most genuine area in the Chianti region. As a matter of fact Chianti is a vast area in Tuscany and is divided into 7 sub-zones, each one producing its Chianti wine with a specific name and label. Chianti Classico stretches between:
Florence and Siena



4. Why do we look so happy?
Because we just ate an incredible lunch and drank gallons of expensive wine that we could never afford to buy!



5. Why did we take a photograph of this site? It is located across the road from the Uffizi.
Because the Olive tree was planted to mark the site where a bomb was detonated in 1993 by the mafia, killing 5 people. Mary Redekop asked us to get a photo.
