Burano

I needed something quick to paint, so Burano was the answer.

This is Burano on a 12" by 48" hardboard painting panel. I haven't painted on hardboard before. I did so because I was out of birch. It's okay to work on.  It's smooth; there's no grain. It was much easier to cut than birch, but far from as durable. I have new birch ordered, which has not arrived yet.

This was a fun project. Easy to paint, fun to blend, and didn't require a very steady hand or much thinking - a quick and easy project.

I painted it for my office at work, but now that I have it hanging in the dining room, I think it will stay and I'll paint another for work!
