Welcome to our Useful Tips page. We believe our Mostly Roman and Early Christian  and Renaissance, Mannerist & Baroque apps are fairly easy to use but sometimes being shown some things about the technology makes using it a little easier.  The videos below demonstrate the Mostly Roman and Early Christian app.  The Renaissance app works almost identically to this app.  Please contact us if you have any difficulty.

1. Overview
This video demonstrates the buttons on the Itinerary Home Page, scrolling, and how to access the help file.

3. More Pages
For the app to contain all the content Mary provided to us, it was necessary to include More Pages. The More Pages are loaded with audio, video, photos and typed content. Each site in the tour has More Pages.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. What tablets will run these apps?
At first launch the apps are available for iPad.  Conversion to Android and Kindle is in the works.

2. How much memory do I need on my iPad?
500 mg for each app.

3. Does the initial download of the app take a long time?
It's all relative, but I would answer Yes to this question. The app was designed to be used without an Internet connection. Since there is so much multimedia content the file is large, so it will take about 40 minutes to download.  It is worth the wait.

2. Landing Pages
Each site in the walking tour has a Landing Page which provides basic information, main navigation controls, access to videos, audio and more content.

4. Maps
The map pages provide directions, photographs and a map to assist with your walk from one site to the next. This part of the app turns the walk into a bit of an interactive scavenger hunt in the sense that you touch the map to see if you are actually in the location that you should be to get to the next site.
